The Ohio Benefit Bank is a free service sponsored by the Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks. We currently have one counselor who will sit down with a person or a family to help them determine if there are programs or benefits that could be of service to them. Examples are: Child Care subsidies; USDA Child Nutrition programs; Women, Infants and Children (WIC); Medicare Extra Help with Part D drug coverage; Food Assistance programs (Food Stamps, SNAP); Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP); Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and others. In the future, we may be available to help with simple income tax returns.
