Director of Student Ministries at Faith UMC, Ashland

Mobile Food Pantry- The Mobile Food Pantry truck will be at the church on Wednesday, August 16th   Lunch will be served, at 11 am, followed by distribution of food from the Greater Cleveland Food Bank in the afternoon.  Everyone will be required to sign for the food they are picking up and new paperwork must be filled out, if you have"nt already done so.  If you are able, pleas bring a box, laundry basket, tote bin, or bags to help keep food items from shifting in your car.  Volunteers are needed to help bag and pass out food once it is dropped off.  Contact the church office if you have questions or are interested in volunteering (419)895-1011.

UMW Meeting- Friday, August 11th at 1 pm in the Conference Room.  All ladies are welcome to attend and help plan for UMW Sunday.

UMW Sunday- August 20th during the 8:30 am service.  Everyone is invited to this special worship service led by our United Methodist Women.  The morning message will be "What Does the Lord Require."  

Youth Group Cookout-  On Sunday, August 20th the youth (6th-12th grades) will be going to the parsonage for a cookout following the second worship service.  After lunch and fellowship, they will return to the church around 3 pm.  Please let one of the youth Suncay School teacher know if you are planning to go, so they can plan for transportation and food.  

Faith in Action Sunday- On Sunday, August 27th we are going to cancel church and put our Faith into Action through service in our community.  The following is the list of projects and their descriptions for this year’s Faith in Action Sunday.  Please be praying for each of these projects and their impact in our community, as well as, how you can be involved this year.  Sign-up will begin on Sunday, August 6th in the Gym between worship services.

Plymouth/Shiloh Food Bank (Team Leaders: Mike & Carolyn Cline)
For this project, the team will travel to the Plymouth/Shiloh Food Bank to help sort donations in preparation for the Christmas season. 
Oakwood Crossing Community Picnic (Team Leaders: Sharon Boyce & Amanda Seiter)
For this project, we will be hosting a Community Picnic at Oakwood Crossing (formerly Pin Oak Estates).  Your commitment for this project will be from 10 am to 2 pm.  A picnic style lunch will be served to the residents at the park from 11 to 1.  Team members will also be building relationships with our neighbors at Oakwood Crossing and providing some activities for them. 
Blue Rose Mission (Team Leader: Bob Johnson)
This team will serve by working on light construction or repair projects for community members.
Laundromat Outreach (Team Leaders: Bob & Dottie Stoffer)
For this project, a group will be sent out to provide the quarters and supplies for community members to do their laundry while also visiting with customers. 
Job and Family Services Mural (Team Leaders: Cam & Alyson Estep)
This group will be painting a mural in the waiting room and visitation rooms of Ashland Job and Family Services. 
Harmony House (Team Leaders: Rick & Becky Crowl)
This team will either be doing yard work, painting, or cleaning for the Harmony House depending on occupants.
Dayspring Assisted Living (Team Leaders: Cliff and Anne Williams)
This team will be building a retaining wall and planting flowers. 
Oakwood Ramp (Team Leader: Guy Mack)
This team will serve a family in the community by building a wheelchair ramp for their home.

Childcare (Team Leader: Ally Smith)
These serving on this team will provide childcare for children whose parents are serving at various FIA projects.  Team members should love working with kid and have already completed Faith’s Child Protection Training.  Childcare will be provided from 9:45 am to 2 pm.  Team members will provide lunch and participate in games, a mission project, and other fun activities with the kids.
Community Prayer Walk (Team Leader: Nancy Edwards)
Team members will participate in a prayer walk in and around the church building and the Crestview Schools buildings to join in prayer for the community, leaders, and needs within the area.​
Grocery Delivery (Team Leaders: Misty Welch and Laurie Bedocs)This team will be meeting in the Café at Faith to bag groceries to deliver to 10 families in the Crestview School District.  We need at least 3-4 drivers who will drive people in our group to homes to drop off the groceries.
